Her name was Mampi, and she had come all the way from Delhi with her family. Mampi was different from anyone Suman had ever met. She was friendly and had a warm smile that made everyone feel special. Suman noticed her from the first day and felt a strange, happy feeling in his heart whenever she was around. He wanted to be her friend but was too shy to talk to her. Then, one night during Diwali, a big festival with lights and fireworks, Suman saw Mampi admiring a colorful rangoli on the ground.
