These terms form an agreement between you ("Seller", "you") and AmazeBazaar, Kolkata, West Bengal, India ("we", "us"), operator of AmazeBazaar. They apply when you apply to sell, upload books or receive earnings. They add to our general Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully; you must accept them to open a seller account.
1. Who can sell
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract, or a business registered in India.
- You must give accurate details, including your legal name, address, PAN, and GSTIN if you are registered for GST, and keep them up to date.
- Seller accounts are approved at our discretion. We may refuse, suspend or close a seller account that breaks these terms.
2. Your books
- You may only sell books you wrote or for which you hold all rights needed to sell them as digital downloads worldwide.
- Books must be accurate, complete PDFs that match their title, description, cover and sample pages.
- You must not upload plagiarised, infringing, misleading, defamatory, obscene, hateful or unlawful content, private-label or resale-rights material you may not resell, or files containing malware.
- If a book is substantially generated with AI tools, say so in its description.
- Every new book is reviewed by us before it goes on sale. Changes to a live book may be reviewed again. We may decline or remove any book that breaks these terms or our policies, and will tell you why.
3. Licence you give us
You keep the copyright in your books. You grant AmazeBazaar a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-bearing licence, for as long as your book is listed (and afterwards for buyers who already purchased it), to: sell and deliver copies to customers; store and back up the files; display the cover, description, table of contents and sample pages; and promote the book on AmazeBazaar, in emails and on social media.
4. Prices
You set the price of each book, inclusive of GST, and may run your own sales. We may run store-wide promotions and coupons; a coupon used on your book reduces its Net Sale Value for that order, and your share is calculated on what the customer actually paid.
5. Revenue share
- You earn 80% of the Net Sale Value of every copy of your books sold on AmazeBazaar. We keep 20% as our marketplace commission.
- Net Sale Value means the amount paid by the customer for your book after any discount, excluding GST. GST is collected from the customer and paid to the government by us.
- Our commission covers hosting, secure file delivery, payment-gateway charges, GST invoicing, customer support, refunds handling and marketing. There are no listing or monthly fees.
- Example: a book priced ₹299.00 (including 18% GST) has a Net Sale Value of ₹253.39; the seller earns ₹202.71 and AmazeBazaar keeps ₹50.68.
- We may change the commission for future sales by giving you at least 30 days' notice by email. Sales made before the change keep the old rate.
6. Earnings, holding period and payouts
- Each sale appears in your Seller Dashboard immediately. It becomes available to withdraw 14 days after the sale, which covers our customer refund window.
- You can request a withdrawal once your available balance is at least ₹500.00. We pay by UPI or bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS) within 7 working days of your request, to the details in your payout settings.
- You are responsible for giving correct payout details. We are not liable for payments sent to details you provided that turn out to be wrong.
- All amounts are in Indian Rupees.
7. Refunds and chargebacks
Customer refunds are decided by us under our Refund Policy. If a sale is refunded or charged back, your share of it is reversed. If that share was already paid to you, the amount is deducted from your future earnings.
8. Taxes
- You are responsible for your own income tax and, where applicable, your GST registration and returns.
- Where Indian law requires us to deduct or collect tax on amounts we pay you (for example tax deducted at source under the Income-tax Act), we will deduct it from your payout, deposit it with the government and give you the relevant certificate. Without a valid PAN, a higher rate may apply by law.
- We issue GST invoices to customers for each sale.
9. Customers and data
We own the customer relationship for sales made on AmazeBazaar. You will see sales of your books (date, book, amount and billing state) but not buyers' names, email addresses or payment details. You must not ask customers to pay you outside AmazeBazaar for books listed here.
10. Your promises to us
You confirm that you own or control all rights in your books, that they do not infringe anyone's rights or break any law, and that the information you give us is true. You agree to compensate AmazeBazaar for losses, claims and reasonable legal costs arising from a breach of these promises, including copyright claims about your books.
11. Copyright complaints
If we receive a credible complaint that your book infringes someone's rights, we may remove it immediately, tell you, and hold earnings from that book until the matter is resolved. Repeat infringers are permanently removed. See our DMCA Policy.
12. Ending the agreement
- You may stop selling at any time by unpublishing your books or giving us 30 days' notice to close your seller account.
- We may suspend or close your seller account with notice, or immediately for serious or repeated breaches, fraud or legal requirements.
- When the account closes we pay your available earnings, minus any refunds, chargebacks or amounts owed, after the holding period of your last sale. Customers keep access to books they bought.
13. Liability
We provide the marketplace "as is" and do not guarantee any level of sales. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you under this agreement is limited to the commission we earned from your books in the 12 months before the claim. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential losses.
14. General
This agreement is governed by the laws of India and the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction. We may update these terms; material changes are emailed to you at least 30 days in advance, and continuing to sell after that means you accept them. Questions: support@amazebazaar.com.
